ALL PERFORMERS MUST HEAR THIS

Sometimes I really struggle with my day/week schedule. As a full-time musician I’m at the mercy of how many opportunities are incoming. Life’s good when things are steady, but then there are those unavoidable times where there are just soooo many things that I need to be present for or else they won’t go ahead.

As I write this, I’m currently amidst a mayhem of a month due to being involved heavily in the Adelaide Fringe Festival. It’s a big juggle: performing, production, promotion, event management… the works! To say I’ve been flat-out would be an understatement.

So much so, that a couple days ago I didn’t even think I’d have enough energy to keep my eyes open to watch a clip of 'Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee' where Jerry Seinfeld has a conversation with Michael Richards…. Let’s just say that I’m glad I did! His words were exactly what I needed to hear. To remind me that even amongst a whirlwind of stress and fatigue, that what matters above all else is putting on a good show.

Thanks Jerry, I hope you get some appreciation out of it too.
